    European Policy towards equality for women and men is in danger!


    Several independent networks of organizations promoting gender equality all over Europe prepared a petition calling on EU to proclaim to pursue the policy of gender equality, and ensure an appropriate budgetary provision in all structural funds in the forthcoming EU-programming period 2007 -2013!

    The petition is a response to the fact that in the forthcoming EU-programming period 2007 -2013 there are no special action programmes for eliminating inequalities between women and men and promoting gender equality. Innovative policies are transferred from European level to member-state level. For detailed information about the action and in order to sign the petition, please go to www.nowa.at/genderequality/.
