In this section we introduce the gender perspectives in various environmental policy areas. In researching the gender aspects it becomes evident that available knowledge is often limited to data on gender differentials. Research that focusses on gender relations is rare and / or not directly applicable to the practice of a gender-just environmental planning and policy.
Below we are presenting the gender dimensions we use for assessing policy measures. These dimensions are in a continuous development, the current version can be found below as well as in the section Instruments. The old version was still used to assess the gender aspects of the environmental issues; this will be updated gradually.
